Putting the Mop Together
The accessories that come with the mop have been designed for a specific purpose. Putting everything together is a breeze because you just snap the different parts in place. You’ll notice that unlike its predecessor, the newer model comes with a longer cord that is already attached to the unit itself. You will be able to cover the room without having to continually search for a plug. It also has a telescoping handle that can be adjusted to different heights so you don’t have to bend over to uncomfortable positions when cleaning.
The newer Shark Steam Pocket Mop has a sturdier feel to it. When choosing the cleaning heads, you can either go for the smaller triangle one or the larger rectangular one. These are placed at the bottom of the unit before you slide the pocket on. The pocket is for protection from the heat. You can now change the pad without burning yourself. Moreover, the water reservoir is way bigger so you have a tank large enough for all your cleaning requirements. You can either use distilled or tap water for it, depending on what is available at the moment. If you want to protect the mop, distilled is definitely better because there are no sediments that build up over time.
Once everything has been set in place, just plug the unit in and wait 30. You will then hear the steam start. It heats up very quickly so you can get to your duties immediately. As you glide, the motion pumps out steam.
